Jan Ficek Dřevovýroba exhibits Havel´s vase in The Veneer Gallery!
Two years ago, we opened The Veneer Gallery in our family factory in Chrudim, which main aim is natural materials, like wood and veneer, education what is also connected with sustainability.
But the biggest highlight in our Gallery is now the Havel´s vase! It was produced in limited edition of 7 peaces, which are now all in private collections. And this vase with lucky number seven, you can now see in our Gallery!

PREPARING WOOD VENEER GALLERY

Primarily two variants of final surfaces are used for interior furniture and other wooden or veneered interior elements - either oils and waxes or transparent lacquers.

The main inspirational source is Japanese Yakuza.
Collection of necklaces is made to express the journey of Yakuza fighter. Necklaces are made from exotic veneers, which are folded over themselves to evoke card game kabufuda, which layed the groundwork to Yakuza.

HAVEL’S VASE IN BRNO!
Companies Sapeli, Jan Ficek Dřevovýroba & Konsepti, Cígler Home Design, ProCeram and Studio Tereza Šašková, which adjoin H – park, centre of interior offer in Brno, organised a pre-Christmas party with presentation of vase „The Ungraspable Rose Hip“, which was designed by Václav Havel for Bořek Šípek. This is the last piece of the seven produced and is now probably one of the few that is not enclosed in private collections, and can be seen in public.
